2- PLANNING: Occupational therapists form the basis of a plan by determining the goals of short and long term treatment in line with the results they find during the evaluation phase. In this plan, the lifestyle of the person, his / her roles in social life, his / her preferences on certain issues, habits that he / she has difficulty giving up, the stage of development and the environment he / she lives in should be taken into consideration.

3- INTERVENTION: In the intervention phase, occupational therapists should work in a person-oriented manner in order to get a positive result and make interventions in harmony with the environment observed in the previous stages. These interventions are interventions made to achieve the goal of occupational therapy. It is a priority to increase the performance of the person in his / her daily life and to increase the adaptation of the person to the work, social and environments he / she frequently enters. Occupational therapists sometimes try to teach people new techniques for this purpose and sometimes try to use equipment. These equipments can often help to facilitate personal care, to eliminate the factors in the environment that may interfere with the person, and to reduce the stress felt by the person.

Teamwork takes an important place in the occupational therapy process. In this teamwork, it is very important to be in constant cooperation or coordination with the family of the person, other important people in his life, other health professionals, caregivers or volunteers in order to reach a positive result more easily.
